ROMAN & CELTIC ARTEFACTS
The Romans left an immense legacy of languages,
literary culture, architecture, government and religious life to medieval
and modern Europe. The Roman Empire was the largest and most powerful force
the western world had ever seen, controlling most of Europe, North Africa
and a large part of the Middle East. They were famous for their huge armies
and network of roads, the introduction of the Latin language, architecture
and their systems of government. In this section, we offer some lovely
Roman objects bringing to life the days of the Roman Empire.
