Established in 1995, Shaftesbury Systems initially formed to provide cutting edge yet affordable software to enable telecommunication companies to bill for Fixed Line Telephony.
Today our billing system ebillz has evolved to bill for all telecoms services be it WLR, Mobile Billing, ADSL/MPLS, Phone System Maintenance Contracts as well as new emerging technologies such as SIP, WIMAX and VoIP.
Shaftesbury Systems Limited is a privately owned Software Company based in Hertfordshire, United Kingdom and has over 250 active clients using the ebillz billing and customer care platform , and a team of 16 developers and support staff who between them have over 50 years of development experience.
In 2007 Shaftesbury started work on integrating its billing system with new providers of WLR3 Wholesale line rental and now has full integration between ebillz and TPI providers of access to the BT Openreach EMP.
In 2008 Shaftesbury was awarded with the BSI British Standards Institution Kitemark status for the Total Metering and Billing System (TMBS) award. This was in recognition of the detailed quality audit done of the bureau billing process option available through ebillz.
In autumn 2009 Shaftesbury launched the Enterprise version of ebillz which comes with substantially improved scalability and
resilience to the Carrier grade and Super-Reseller market.
In October 2010 Shaftesbury Systems was acquired by Chess Telecoms Limited and now forms part of the Chess Group of Companies as a wholly owned separate subsidiary.
Shaftesbury has a growing presence in Europe and North America with over 20 clients based in countries as diverse as Switzerland, Denmark, Spain, Canada and the United States.
Stephen Dracup Chief Executive
Stephen Dracup is the Business Development Director at Chess and the Chief Executive of ebillz and is responsible for overall business growth and product development for the Chess Group of companies. He had been with Chess for six years - prior to that he ran his own communications business. Outside of work he enjoys reading on his Kindle device as well as hitting the high seas on his yacht.
Arvind Meghani Managing Director
Arvind has over 20 years' experience in the telecoms and IT technology industry. He started his career in the motor trade as an IT administrator and rapidly progressed to become an IT manager. In the mid-1990s, Arvind joined ebillz as a developer and rapidly made progression up the ranks to become senior developer and in 2002 the head of software development. In 2004 Arvind was promoted to Operations Manager and in 2011 he was appointed Managing Director of ebillz. Outside of work, Arvind is an avid badminton player and plays semi-professionally. Arvind also likes spending time with his two sons, travelling and reading.
Yasin Qadir Sales Manager
Yasin is head of sales at ebillz. He has eight years of experience in Telecoms and IT and holds a B.Sc.and an M.Sc.in International Relations. He was an elected local government Councillor from 2003-2007 and in 2004 obtained a Huthwaite sales certification and joined the telecoms sector. In the past he has worked as a senior technical support officer for ITV Digital as well as at one of the UK's largest telecoms reseller before joining Shaftesbury in 2007. He is a guest lecturer at various secondary schools leading workshops on economic development and politics and outside of work have interests in current affairs, reading and spending time with his wife and new baby daughter.View Yasin Qadir's profile
